Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn, an American actress who has worked in film and television as well as the theatre. She has been a professional actor for 27 years. In 1990 she made her debut on stage in Off Broadway's production in The Big Funk written by John Patrick Shanley. A year later she was seen in her debut TV role The Perfect Tribute. Her biggest break in her career happened in the year 1992 when she played a minor role in the film Basic Instinct. In The Firm, she played the leading female character for the first time. She was cast opposite Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman.
